The Shark is Full Speed Ahead in Taiwan. The proud wearer of the TDF Yellow Jersey was in Taiwan for the Taiwan KOM event on Oct 20th. After setting a new course record with a 3:19:54 performance, the Bahrain-Merida team went on to participate in the Merida cup on Oct 21st. Of note are that Vincenzo and his brother Antonio, along with C.K. Fong, who is the first Taiwanese native to be in the Pro Tour, all use FSA/Vision’s top-tier cockpit and aerobars.

FSA Gossamer Pro BB386EVO Road Cranks

The Gossamer is a high-end crankset for lovers of alloy, and with an impressive history of wins on the brutal cobbles of the Paris-Roubaix, it needs no further explanation. Yet the details can’t be ignored. And not just because of its new smoothly integrated design. The cold-forged aluminum arms are heavily scalloped for the maximum strength to weight ratio, while the versatile BB368 spindle is forged from an even stronger alloy. The 30mm spindle is compatible with English Threaded, SMN Press Fit and BB30 bottom brackets with just a few simple spacers.

FSA SL-K Drop Stem

Big wheels and long-travel forks raise handlebars uncomfortably high. The innovative 20-degree drop SL-K stem fixes that, restoring weight distribution and handling balance. It’s a tough unit. Forged and CNC machined from tough aluminum, the Drop uses a wide, four-bolt faceplate to firmly clamp 31.8mm bars.

With sizes every 10mm between a trail-stubby 50mm and 120mm, the Drop is the only way to tame the lofty front ends of 29” and 27.5”-wheeled bikes.

FSA Extra Light Carbon Road Bars

What else could we call it? At 169g, this high-modulus carbon bar isn’t just light… it’s extra light! Clever use of expanding internal moulds allow extremely fine control over the carbon fiber’s wall thickness, while a complex layup ensures custom stiffness and compliance. The result is a high-control, high-comfort bar that weighs almost nothing.

A 125mm drop and a two degree outward bend mean perfect ergonomics, and it’s available in 400mm, 420mm and 440mm widths.
